Sunrise Nursery a bright start to a full life...

My name is Julie Starns, I am have been a qualified early years educator since 1989.  On 1st September 1993, I moved my existing Montessori nursery into the charming Kentish ragstone building (circa 1854) and took up residence in The School House as my family home. Within six months, the nursery facilities were extended to offer full day care for children from 6 months to 5 years.

Sunrise Day Nursery offers full year childcare catering for children from 6 months to 5 years. Sunrise is built on the ethos that every child matters . . . and is different. Our aim is to provide an environment where we can unlock the unique potential of each child. Our dedicated team work together; recognising and valuing play as the basis for delivering a journey of learning and, therefore, building a solid foundation for children in their early years.

We extended our provision in 2011 to The Station House, Harrietsham which is joined to the railway station. Our Harrietsham manager is Sarah Simmons. Sarah joined Sunrise in 2018 and has 9 years experience of working in Early Years. Sarah is also our Designated Safeguarding Lead. I work closely with Sarah and the other members of our management team to provide a high quality early years environment across the two settings.

Our team will establish a relationship with you and your family; please know, however, that although I manage the Langley setting, I work closely with the team and am often at Harrietsham and always happy to hear from all our parents.  For more details about our setting please go to ABOUT US.
